Now, here is how the rating system works;

Low quality – this entrant isn’t very good, but it is included in order to complete the dex. If another entrant for the dex is received, there is a very high likelyhood that it will be accepted. In other words, an entry with this tag is just begging to be replaced.
Medium quality – this entrant has some flaws that keep it from being High quality, but overall it is good. If another entrant for the dex is received, there is a chance that it will be accepted.
High quality – this entrant is the perfect example of spriting genius. It will take an unbelievably amazing entrant to replace this one. This shouldn’t stop you from trying, mind you – I may see something amazing.

So basically, Low is "Please replace me", Medium is, "Y'know, it'd be really nice if someone came up with something better. Like, REALLY nice. If only there was a really good spriter out there...", and High is "Yeah, not moving, bro." There is another rating system based on how much effort was put into making the sprite.

Recolor – as the name implies, this sprite is merely a recolor. Simple recolors are not as attractive dex entries as those with more work, so Recolors have a higher chance of being replaced if something better comes up.
Wings – A sprite with something added behind or in front of it (usually wings or a tail, but it can be other things, like Venusaur’s back flower). Wings technically means “Recolor with wings”. Pieces rated W should have involved more work to get to that stage than a simple Recolor, and thus should stand a better chance of NOT getting replaced.
Xtensive Work – This sprite has had more work put into it then merely recoloring it and adding wings – whether it is adding dots to the front (see Bulbasaur), erasing part of the Wing to curve it around the sprite (Vaporeon’s mask was one where I had to erase the Pokemon’s face until I could see Misty’s), or even making a custom “wing” (see Delibird’s cap). It basically means that you had to modify the source material in order to get it to work properly.

Keeping in mind that quality, not effort, is the primary determinate in how easy it is to replace a sprite. MEANING, if a high quality recolor is submitted to replace a low-quality but extensive work piece, the higher quality piece will win.
To submit an entry, send me a note containing the following;

-A link to the sprite in question (preferably, have it in your dA account). Having a single deviation with multiple sprites in it is okay, just tell me which you want me to submit. Make sure each sprite has enough width to fit in the boxes on the Gijinkadex (I believe the magic number is 85 pixels wide by about 100 pixels high).
-The National Pokedex numbers for each and every sprite you are submitting. The filing system I utilize uses the Nationaldex numbers, and I don’t want to be hunting for every single number if I can avoid it.
-Documentation for every sprite you use. Specifically, the name of the trainer class used for the work. If you want to add a little bit on what kind of work was involved, then feel free to do so.
-The work rating for every sprite you submit. I’ll probably peg down the quality rating myself.
-A 28x28 pixel icon, so that people can identify your sprite in the dex, should it be accepted. You’ll only have to send this once, with any luck. Try to make it simple, both in terms of design and color scheme, and of course make sure it isn’t too similar to anyone else’s logo. I would suggest making sure it works on the page before submitting it – you might have to resize it somewhat.

Try not to pick the same base as the pokemon’s immediate neighbors to modify. If that happens by accident, don’t worry about it, it’s not going to single your sprite out for deletion or anything.
For Unowns, the best quality one will receive the spot on the Johtodex. I will start an Unown dex if there are enough entries. The same MAY happen with Deoxys (more likely is that I’ll add more spots on the Hoenn dex, since Deoxys is the last on that page), but NOT with Arceus (well, maybe if there are multiple people, but unless each Arceus is different from every other Arceus sprite, I’m not doing it.

Oh, and characters with a white box around them are official, unmodified Nintendo sprites - fair game for anyone who wants to replace them.
-----
Serperior – Eugene. I originally thought I would color his face white (like the high-class people used to powder their faces and wear wigs), but then I realized it made him look creepy, which reminded me of another creepy white-faced guy who wears a lot of purple. (Aka the Joker, who is not on this sheet for obvious reasons).
Emboar - Biker sprite. The flames on the back from Emboar's collar, I like. The symbol on his shirt, not so much.
Oshawott - Dancer from BW. Commission by quilman
Dewott – Is it more obvious than Samurott? PLEASE tell me it’s more obvious. Based off of Chuck
Samurott - Swimmer from BW. Nicknamed Thalassa
Simisage, Simisear, and Simipour - the three gymleaders from the first gym.
Blitzle - Runner from DPP. Commissioned by Feudelacour
Audino - Jasmine from HGSS. Commissioned by clock lock works
Seismitoad - Marshal from BW. Nicknamed Amp
Throh and Sawk - fighters from BW and DPP, respectively.
Scoliopede - Elesa from BW. Nicknamed Penny
Erufuun - from Caitlin's sprite...yeah, she looks more like a chocolate statue than a pokemon XD (Obviously done before the english release of BW)
Lilligant - Again, Caitlin from BW.
Krokodile – Body is Rocket grunt, head is Will from HGSS. The tail is from Gorebyss - I felt the original tail would overbalance him too much.
Scrafty – Petrel from HGSS. Let me know what you think of the boxers – I kinda got lazy and just did a fill effect to get the pattern. I think that’s how they do it in animation, though (watch Chowder on Cartoon Network to see what I’m talking about).
Siglyph - Cilan from BW. Nicknamed Nazca.
Corifrigus - Grimsely from BW.
Carracosta - Bruno from HGSS.
Archeops - Aaron from DPP
Trubbish - Janitor from BW. The flies buzzing around his head really set this one apart from the rest for me.
Zorua - Misty from HGSS. Commission for Night Rain - the thing on her neck is supposed to be an orb of some sort.
Zoroark – Lenora from BW. Not sure how well it turned out. The blue in that outfit comes from Zoroark’s pony-tail-holder-together-thingy. (Why yes, I am a guy, thank you for asking)
Gothita – official Nintendo sprite of Maybel from DPP. This is easily the second worst joke I have ever made (second only to Jynx), and I apologize profusely for it.
Gothorita – Lass from HGSS. Pulled up her stockings some and redid her eyes – so it's a little more than a recolor.
Gothielle – Waiter/maid from HGSS. I wanna put rollerskates on this sprite or something.
Reuniclus – IT WORKED!! IT WORKED!!!!! Oh yeah, Scientist from HGSS. This was a real gamble, if I must say so myself. I gave him the halo surrounding him, cut off his arms, put the little orb thingies where his elbows were, recolored his hands red, and put a bit of shine on him. I’d better not hear that this isn’t an XW.
Swanna - Karen from HGSS. Damn. First, I love turning this girl into a whore, and second, I now know where to go whenever I need angel wings.
Emolga - One of the Rocket Admins from HGSS. Commissioned by Utsukushii
Escavalier - Biker from BW
Galvantula - Cheren from BW
Klink family - Kindergartener team from BW, trainer team from DPP, and Catlin and Darach from Gen IV. I'm sorry, but this line will always be known as the Gearu family to me.
Chandelure - Veteran from BW. Nicknamed Kabira, "Strong"
Axew - worker from BW. Commission for Samoo
Fraxure – Ranger from HGSS, tail is from Gorebyss. I was wondering how to make the sprite look more like the pokemon, when I realized that the most distinguishing thing about Fraxure was his tusks. I then had the inspiration to turn them into…I dunno, I was thinking swords, but they’re probably more like quarter-staffs now.
Haxorus - Eusine from HGSS. Nicknamed Ramelan, "Prophecy"
Cryogonal – Worker (Cold Storage), BW. When the RNG I’m using to determine what I’m doing next turned up Cryogonal, I despaired, thinking, “there’s no way I can make this into a good concept.” Well, I think I’ve done alright here, keeping it true to the original concept of the Pokemon (which is a freaky, ghostly ice monster).
Accelegor - Janine from HGSS.
Mienshao – Aka the tap-dancing rat. Sprite is of the BW ice gym leader – I keep wanting to call him Haku, so maybe that’s his Japanese name.
Druddigon - Drayden from BW. I mean look at him. He's friggin' designed for it.
Bouffalant - Flint from DPP. The horns are from Aridos - there's no way that I could put Bouffalant's original horns on without him being overbalanced - so I did that and put some rings on his horns. Either someone was playing Ring Toss with him, or he just has them on for the hell of it.
Braviary - Backpacker from BW. Nicknamed Aaban, "angel"
Durant – Jogger from DPP. A simple recolor and antenna – nice relaxation after doing two VERY involved sprites. (Reuniclus and Cyrogonal)
Deino - the bug dude from the DPP elite four (forget his name). I'm the most proud of this one. Only hard part was erasing the eyes, and that wasn't that difficult.
Hydregion - Maybel, DPP. Once again, I have ruined one of my most favorite pokemon. Tried and failed to make the extra heads handpuppets. It is for this reason that I shall never do nor attempt Dodrio's family, the evolution before this, or Diglett's family.
Larvesta - Kindergartener from BW. Hm...there may be TOO much white on this one...oh well.
Volcanora - Unknown sprite.
Three legendary swordsbeasts - Police officer, BW, Elderly but rich dude from BW, and Proton from HGSS, respectively. Honestly, I don't feel like looking up their names right now. The police officer just looks like some sort of bug...
Thunderos (spellfail) – Cyrus from DPP. An interesting challenge that arose while doing these three is that the “chains” (they probably have a better name, but I don’t know what it is) that the Kami trio all have wrap around their head, meaning that there’s a gap in the chain that the spriter who wishes to work with these sprites must either cover or fill himself. Cyrus I chose because his ego makes him believe he is a god.
Tornedus – Crasher Wake from the same. Given Crasher Wake’s resemblance to a luchador (Mexican wrestler), I wanted him to hoist the chain above his head (like a wrestling belt), so I had to fill in the gap myself.
Reshiram - Sabrina from HGSS. God her wings are massive! Her shirt color comes thanks to Meloetta (DDR form), and the flames on her hands are from Charmeleon
Zekrom - Volkner from DPP. Hair comes frmo the cool boy trainer
Landorus – Fighting chick gym leader, again from the same. Chosen because her hair looked more like the target than anyone else’s, with the added side effect that her hairdo’s wide enough to bridge the gap. In other words, she can wrap herself around that tentacle like a champ*. I like how she seems to be wielding it like it’s some sort of martial arts weapon or something.
Kyurem - Alder from BW. He looks like a god of the frost, doesn't he? One wing is from the back view, one from the right - that's why they're not symmetrical. Color comes from Woobat and Karrablast
Keldeo – I always thought that overworld of the biker guy I used from BW looked almost identical to Keldeo, and I decided to change the battle sprite to fit it better. And I haven’t noticed it before, but does anyone else think Keldeo belongs more in My Little Pony than Pokemon?
Melloetta – Cheerleaders from BW, representing both forms of Melloetta.
Genesect - Footballer from BW. Very pleased with how this one came out.
